HEALTH CHECK
Health Check allows us to identify organ insufficiencies and diseases early on, rather than react to an illness when it appears. Your pet may look and act normally, however as animals age, certain undetectable changes may occur. Pets are adept at hiding signs of illness and it is not always obvious to owners that there is a problem.
Regular veterinary examinations and testing are ways to uncover medical problems early when they are much easier to treat. A simple change in diet, the addition of a supplement or the right medication can often ease the stress on your pet’s body, and be enough to slow down, stop or even reverse existing damage well before your pet is noticeably sick.
Early detection, even before abnormal signs of disease have begun, is the key to being able to successfully manage many common problems in our pets.

ANNUAL HEALTH CHECK
All pets should be examined at least annually by your veterinary surgeon. Pets age about seven times as fast as we do, so, older pets should be examined even more often. Examinations are critical to help veterinary surgeons find disease early — the best time for them to be treated. Depending upon the age of your pet, blood tests or other diagnostics may be recommended as part of regular health check and disease prevention.
The physical exam is the most important part of your pet's annual visit..
VACCINES
Vaccines are selected for your pet based on your pet’s lifestyle and risks. Vaccinating your dog, cat and other small animals protects him or her against a wide variety of infectious diseases. Mature, healthy pets that are not at excessive risk are generally vaccinated annually. Your veterinary surgeon will discuss with you a vaccination program that is appropriate for your particular pet.
We do not believe that one vaccination program is correct for all pets. Nor do we believe in over-vaccinating pets. We understand that your pet is unique and needs a vaccination program specific to him/her. Please contact our veterinary centre for additional information.
