LAUNDRY ROOM
Mentioning this area might seem odd to some of you because no one talks about the laundry care so what made us put this high on our list of priorities? As with other hygiene areas we feel this is an extremely important one. |
|
We have upgraded the equipment to meet medical standards. Frequently regular domestic sized washers and dryers are used at clinics. These are not designed to deal with clinical waste and soiling.
We lease an industrial sized Miele washing machine and a dryer. The washer is specifically designed for medical services, having medical cycles that reach very high temperatures performing thermal disinfection. |
|
This specific washing machine complies with WRAS regulations and does not put soiled or infected water back into the water system. It is designed to deal with the processing of infectious laundry preventing ‘back sucking’ into the water supply.
The machines are regularly serviced to maintain optimum performance. As with many of our changes and upgrades this is another investment that is for the safety and care of your pets. |

ISOLATION WARD
For pets with potentially infectious conditions, we have a separate isolation facility with a dedicated bath for infectious cases that complies with Veterinary Hospital Regulations. It is a proper isolation ward where pets are kept as comfortable as possible and constantly monitored by our veterinary staff.
The kennel has under floor heating with an individual thermostat control to help regulate the animal’s temperature and comfort. The lights are on a dimmer switch so your pet is kept in soft soothing lighting inducing calmness. All of these conditions allow for a healthier environment for treatment and recovery.

WAITING ROOM AREA
We now have separate seating sections, one for dogs and one for cats and other small animals. This is to relieve some of the stress that some cats and other small animals experience when close to dogs.
Relevant dietary and grooming products are kept in the specific areas.
