We have built 3 special walk in kennels for dogs.

• They have oversized plush veterinary beds and additional bedding for their comfort.
• Each kennel has under floor heating with its own individual thermostat control.
• The lights in the kennel area have dimmer switches so animals can rest in subdued lighting.

This helps to reduce the stress some cats and small animals feel when being near a dog. The lighting in this area can be lowered for more restful and calming recovery.

Veterinary Bedding
We are always surprised when we see or hear about sick animals being kept on thin bedding or paper. Yes this does happen in some practices! The reason this occurs is to reduce the cost and the great deal of work and laundry the soiled bedding creates.

Just as humans need to be made comfortable when they are ill, so does an animal. At Polden Hills Veterinary Centre we feel that above all, your pet should be kept warm and comfortable, so we have purchased a variety of plush bedding to suit all needs.
